Using Your Facebook Page as Yourself

Not too long ago, Facebook created the “Use Facebook as <your page>” for admins of pages. This feature would give a user the ability to venture through Facebook as though they were a page and not themselves. In retrospect, I was curious if they also made an option available for users to post on their own pages as themselves and not as “the page”. Turns out that they did enable this feature, however they did it in the same old secretive way that Facebook functions. So I’ve provided below a step-by-step diagram to illustrate exactly how to go about doing this.

  1. Browse to your page
  2. Click on the “Edit Page” at the top right corner of the screen
  3. Select the “Your Settings” tab from the left pane
  4. Uncheck the box next to “Always comment and post on your page as <your page> even when using Facebook as <your name>.”

And voila! 🙂
